Modern Slavery Statement
Modern slavery is a term used to encompass slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, bonded and child labour, and human trafficking. Human trafficking is where a person arranges or facilitates the travel of another person with a view to that person being exploited. Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights.
The Celtic Muse complies with The Modern Slavery Act 2018. This applies to all persons working for The Celtic Muse or on The Celtic Muse’s behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, agents, contractors, and suppliers.
The Celtic Muse strictly prohibits the use of modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations and supply chain, and expects that its suppliers will hold their suppliers to the same high standards.
The Celtic Muse has committed to, and will continue to be committed to, implementing systems and controls aimed at ensuring that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within its organisation or in any of its supply chains. When modern slavery is suspected, The Celtic Muse staff will notify the Designated Founding Partner who will, at the earliest opportunity, raise an alert with the appropriate authorities, i.e., the police in the Client’s locality. In an emergency, staff will call 000 directly at the same time as raising an alert within the organisation.
